I’ve been listening to this for a while and it is good enough to keep listening, especially given the dearth of Kentucky politics podcasts. This one is from a left-leaning perspective if that matters to you, but hosts are quite open about that. My biggest issues are:
1. Jazmin makes incredibly long pauses in her speech and in odd places. I listen to this on 1.25x speed and I feel like half the time it feels like it’s actually too slow because of her very odd speech pattern. It just takes foreve... more
A superb deep-dive weekly look at Kentucky politics, particularly from a Democratic (& democratic) perspective. As someone from out of state, I learn so much from this podcast.

My Old Kentucky podcast does an excellent job analyzing Kentucky politics and issues. The hosts are able to offer knowledgeable and nuanced takes.
An incredibly thoughtful podcast and it’s so amazing to have an hour a week where smart folks dive into the most complicated political issues. Or just update you on the million things happening in Kentucky. Also they get so many great people on! Highly recommend!!

Episodes frequently feature interviews and roundtable discussions with candidates, policymakers, and issue experts, offering practical insights into campaign dynamics, legislative strategy, and how policy changes affect communities. Its strengths lie in data-driven context, strong on-the-ground reporting from Louisville and Lexington, and access to a diverse slate of local guests; however, pacing and audio production quality have been noted as areas some listeners wish to improve.
