I like listening to a range of perspectives, but the liberal lean of this podcast has started to really be too much. If they claim to be neutral and then clearly use negative terms about different political leaders, they’re missing the mark. Also, I know every business needs sponsors, but some of the sponsorships are on the extreme of the political spectrum. A big turn off.

I quit Up First after the constant joking and personal repartée between the hosts felt like it was killing me. Listening to The Headlines was pretty good for a while, despite their having a silly Friday news quiz, which I just ignored, until today’s podcast—Just horrified to hear the opening of the show be some kind of bad spoof on the news of Taylor Swift’s engagement. Is no jokes too much to ask of the news?!
It’s informative, quick. And like that it has a soul (a bit of humor and personality!)
