  • Left leaning

I noticed that they refute right leaning statements from politicians but not left leaning.

For example on Feb 25, 2026, they reported that the Virginia Governor claimed that the President was destroying the economy. And did not offer a rebuttal such as a week earlier, the Dow Jones was at an all time high.

  • Why. Does. She talk like. This?

I like the style and quick news reports it provides but why does the host sound like a bad AI voice bot?

  • Pay attention to the sponsors

Tracy Mumford is great and I'd really been enjoying the clear and concise reporting on this podcast. But the cognitive dissonance of listening to a story on natural gas prices while the same episode is bookended by ads from the American Petroleum Institute finally broke me.

  • Pick better sponsors

Having to listen to the propaganda from the petroleum industry before and after getting the news is nauseating. We all know that they have lied about the dangers of their products and the consequences we all pay with our health and the health of the planet. NY Times supports this just so a small handful of extraordinarily wealthy individuals can get even wealthier (and this includes the NY Times). It’s disgusting and I will vote with my attention, and delete this podcast from my list of news sou... more
