Ads from Philip Morris -- seriously? I generally like this show but this is a huge turn off.
Love The Headlines. BUT, why do I have to hear a drum machine thumping out a base line behind (barely) Tracy’s reporting? On Monday, July 13 this started at 5m 18s (5:18) into the episode and played until 6:02, with similar instances at 6:52-7:10 and 7:58-9:21.
And it occurs in every other episode.
With no disrespect to the composer intended, as it is not the sound itself, but rather its placement within a newscast, what is the purpose? Is it intended to indicate what I should be “feeling?” I... more
