  • This kind of show has so much potential but…

I’ve find it increasingly difficult to listen to these people talk, giggle, and and just waste my time. There is so much nonsense that I have to fast forward parts of just stop listening to the show.

  • Double edged sword

I’ve been a fan of The Wirecutter in print pretty much since its inception, and I was genuinely excited when it launched as a podcast. But wow—is it frustrating to have content I want to hear delivered by people who are so relentlessly unfunny. They’re not just unfunny—they’re confidently unfunny, the kind of unfunny that makes me switch it off within ten minutes, no matter how interested I am in the topic.

Our senses of humor are galaxies apart. Their style is this corny, surface-level “mom an... more

  • Commercials, banter, and 10 minutes of information

I’ve really tried to listen and to the show and like it. But I find myself asking where is the beef?

There is some good information deep, deep, deep in the show. But the commercial, giggles, and nonsensical banter are just get too tough to get through.

Thought you had something good here.

Not worth the time to get through the fluff.

podcast these days, have a wide variation for audiences tempo, temper, or stoking any of the above. This podcast seems practically based practically assessed and practically unmissable. The hosts are engaging chatty in a bantery way that doesn’t make you seem like you had to listen to them for the past 80 episodes over three years and multiple children. Their guests are to the point, highly engaging and provide not only enjoyable listening, but highly actionable calls to action for different thi... more

  • Dumb hosts

Look, I don’t want your opinions, l want actual evidence showing why products perform well. This show is the hosts saying “maybe don’t get an ice maker in your fridge because it could break” and “maybe wait to buy a brand until everyone else has one too, lol.”

This is no Consumer Reports, unfortunately.
