Hard to ignore the overwhelming number of pro-Israel & Jewish hosts, guests, and journalists featured in NYT stories.
Can we consider what the hosts are serving as critical thinking and analysis when they are at the same time chuckling about the war? Is the aim of this podcast to be entertaining, or to be credible? The current balance is not working for me. I’ve tried twice now on my first episode, but when they get to laughing (yet again) about how funny they think they are, I hit pause and go listen to something else.
More of David Brooks and Robert Siegel please.
They raise the standard which is badly needed. Drop the purile “moments of joy” ending. It’s nauseating and purile in the extreme.
Quit with the fake laughter and the heavy, heavy jokes. NYT is afraid not to dumb down their content.
Started listening today again and cannot make it through the giggling, lisping and simpering hosts and guests.
The fact that NYT leaves this to be debated by a crew of Gen Z Park Slope wokesters without the slightest voice of moderation demonstrates just how presumptive the use of the past tense in this title is.
