Great reporting. A story still important and relevant today, not just in Boston, but for the whole country.
I was blown away by the depth,
sensitivity, and care of the reporting, and I could not stop listening. Best podcast of 2024 for my money. Bravo!
Reading some of the reviews tells us everything we need to know about where racism is 30+ years later. Some people can’t handle the truth about our nation. The podcast was super well-researched and allowed all viewpoints to be told from the white cop to all victims involved. Agree journalism still not evolved on breaking stories. Thoroughly enjoyed- binged it in one weekend (interspersed with YouTube videos of the musicians including songs not in the podcast). Thank you Boston Globe and HBO.
This was a great and very deep podcast. It is amazing how quickly this guy suckered the entire city of Boston. The racist quickly fell into lock step and there was nothing that was going to stop them from finding the WRONG person.
You guys did an amazing job with this story. Listening to the story took me back to those awful days. I lived in NYC then and remember the incident well and the feelings the whole catastrophe evoked at the time. Thanks for elaborating.
I had to binge it. I couldn’t stop listening. Well done!
