Absolutely love Swindled!
Solid podcast overall, well done for the most part. Some may find the backing music and delivery to be bland or cheesy, but I find it enhances things. I knocked off a star because of debunked conspiracy theory nonsense (Lost Cosmonaut theory) being peddled as fact in the Challenger episode. However, that episode had excellent coverage of that disaster, and got me to research it for myself further via multiple books.
Pod could also use specific content warns, e.g., graphic animal abuse in a few
Been listening for years and finally decided to write an actual review. If you like American Greed, this pod is right up your alley. The host really nails every story and his narration is great!
I'm giving this a five-star review just to counter the people who gave it a one-star review because it's too woke or whatever the hell the trumpers say these days. It's probably a 3 and 1/2 star podcast. I like the content but the podcaster is monotone and that makes a podcast hard to listen to even when you jack up the speed.
I love the no nonsense (with the odd snark) delivery. I can’t stand presenters talking about themselves, laughing about crime, living lame opinions, no research etc. Go elsewhere for cheesy content like that. Great, albeit sad and shocking true stories. Would love some UK stories too of you run out (doubtful!). Keep up the good work. I trust you.
