  • Well made but it fails to really emphasize the injustice.

Rashaun seems like the most probable person to have committed the crime, but to hold a man in prison 5+ years while awaiting trial with the only evidence being the highly questionable identification by an old white man 7 months after the crime occurred is disgusting. Also his refusal to take a plea deal that would give him 10 years and take it to trial facing life in prison makes me think he really is innocent.

  • Hypocrisy

ESPN did not do a better investigation as it states. They found no new evidence. ESPN clearly steered this investigation in the direction they wanted, not caring whose life they destroyed as they went. Then somehow inject race into the podcast.

  • ESPN needs to join the defense

This is a sad story all around. I thought the reporters did a good job poking holes in the prosecution’s story, although sometimes their reactions to the police’s actions felt exaggerated. Clearly the jury didn’t even need to know all this to come to the conclusion that there wasn’t enough evidence. I like hearing podcasts like this because most of the podcasts I listen to are from the prosecution’s POV (Dateline, 20/20, 48 Hours).

I wonder if Brian’s family has listened to this. I have a feel... more

  • Fine I guess?

Kind of slow and boring, this could’ve been done in one or two episodes. No update either. Meh.

  • VERY gripping

The producers and investigators deserve an award for this! This was super engaging, but I want to appreciate the time they took to advocate for the victim!!
