  • Retirement Focused

Ken is a long-time retirement planner in Dallas. He works with a lot of older folks. Doesn’t focus on returns, isn’t a flashy guy trying to make a lot of money. He’s down to earth, just help older folk protect their assets. And he puts his money where his mouth is. He does a lot of philanthropic work for the Alzheimer’s Association, not because he knows someone who has it, but because it hits the kind of people he’s worked with his whole career. That’s the kind of person I listen to for sincere ... more

  • Tired of excuses

For years, I’ve listened to the broadcast, and the childish jokes are just getting old. I wish he would be more specific discuss yields in lieu of his projections.

  • Good podcast for what it is

This is the podcast version of the weekend AM radio infomercial for Retirement Planners of America. I find the show to have valuable insights, and Ken takes a logical approach to near term market forecasting for people who could have their lives ruined by a bear market.

  • Him Selling his business

This has really good content, and he has good insights, but spends half the time trying to sell his own company. At the beginning and end of every segment he sells what his firm can do.

If you’re just trying to listen to financial planning content, you will get frustrated skipping through 15 minutes of his own personal advertisement.

Q: Where do most people fail in their financial life cycle?
Most people fail during the transition into the retirement phase due to a lack of experience and the complex rules that govern it.
Jobs Worst In 2 Years! Why Did The Market Go Up?
Q: If my wife goes on disability, she will get her Social Security, correct? And can she get half of my benefit?
Disability does not cause you to lose spousal benefits, so she can get half of yours, but only if she waits until she's 66.
Jobs Worst In 2 Years! Why Did The Market Go Up?
Q: Can my wife collect spousal benefits when I am 62 with the understanding that her benefit would be further reduced as she is not 66 yet?
She can't file for half of yours until you filed. You can file when you're 62, but that would leave you with a permanently reduced benefit.
What Will The Market Do If Trump Or Harris Wins?
Q: What do you think the market will do if Trump wins or if Harris wins?
