It’s a great show all around. Every episode they get off on tangents about their lives, non-financial topics, etc. and they’ll usually apologize, but that’s what makes the show great. It’s great financial advice, education, mixed in with humor and normal people. Somehow they’ve pulled off making a finance podcast interesting and worth listening to. One that you’ll get legit value out of, and is able to pull you in to tune in every week.
Excellent podcast. Entertainimg, informative. Retirement planning and personal finance advice. I do not understand the 1 and 2 star ratings. Cannot imagine what those listeners found that is better than Scott and Pat.
Sadly, this podcast has gone downhill. It’s nothing but repeats. The banter between Scott and Pat is new and fresh, but the calls are repeats. Very disappointing.
These guys are financially bincompetent. They might be great business people. But when it comes to details they don’t know anything.
I have been listening to these two banter since they first started their radio show in Sacramento. I look forward to Saturday mornings just to hear what they have to say. Very entertaining and educational.

Across episodes, the hosts blend actionable planning steps—such as Roth conversions, direct indexing, and trust-based wealth transfer—with real-world scenarios, market context, and a personable banter style. Noteworthy is the emphasis on formal financial planning as a prerequisite for costly mistakes, plus a steady stream of private-wealth perspectives from guests and in-house advisors. The format tends to balance education with entertaining host dialogue, making complex tax, estate, and investment topics accessible for sophisticated portfolios while remaining applicable to a broad ... more
