We've knocked loose the cobwebs and dusted off the microphones to talk to Chris Grine about his latest graphic novel, Secrets of Camp Whatever: The Doors to Nowhere (which is SO GOOD).
Alex and Meg discuss the end of Season One of Animorphs, scheme to pitch a new Animorphs TV series (please don't actually pull Brett Goldstein into our madness), and tuck the podcast into bed for a peaceful, indefinite slumber.
We take a break from talking about the Animorphs TV show to talk to someone who was there: props master Alan Doucette!
Gag a maggot! Alex, Meghan, and Chris talk about the newly released The Visitor graphic novel, drawing SO MANY ANIMALS, the things we're excited for Chris to design, and...porgs?!
It's time to wake up and smell the cold potatoes! You'd hate to miss the genesis of Animorphs: The Musical and the latest in Andalite fashions, wouldn't you?
Join us as we we indoctrinate Chris into the Animorphs TV show, ruin childhoods (and books?), and provide color commentary as Redd wrangles a zoomie Inanna the cat.
Is this really the Jake and Marco show? Are we actually cryptids? Ax? Ax!
We're talking about the Animorphs TV series—gather 'round and as we pitch a Shelby Woo spin-off, invent a new genre of Animorphs fanfic, and recount the latest in Bigfoot science.
Several episodes in, this podcast is a great listen throughout your day. They talk so casually about the concepts and topics that you would expect to have with your own friends 20 years after reading these books last. There’s many different extra segments that are added in like “Who’s an Andalite?”, “Animal Facts” (mostly cloaca and spit related), “Hanimilton”, and everything sex-related with aliens—makes sense when you’re there. Everyone is hilarious, but Tim is pretty great as a newbie to the ... more
Incredibly informative discussions wrapped in a light, flaky crust!
I fell asleep on a plane listening to this, but when I woke up, I immediately rewinded (re-wound?) the episode to listen to what I missed. It’s that good.
I have loved revisiting these books and the hosts are great tour guides on that visit. Would be fun and engaging even if I didn't have a deep love and nostalgia for the source material. Definitely worth checking out!
I just found out about this podcast on Facebook and have listened to every episode in 2 days. It's so nice to listen to someone geek out about my favorite characters from my youth... And adulthood. Thank you for doing this!!!
Animorphs was the first series I ever invested in. I absolutely love that this podcast exists 😍
This is such a fun nostalgic trip through my favorite book series as a kid. Seeing it through new eyes through the non-initiated host is a blast and I can't wait to see if Tim can get any predictions right as the rest of the hosts guide him through this series
But I do love them!
