  • Assisted dying topic - more sensitivity please

An important topic to discuss with some good points. I know that the podcasters care about the issue, but the unwitting chuckling at points did jar quite a lot, given the sensitivity of the issue and the extreme distress experienced in the real lives of the people who a wrestling with their suffering - something to bear in mind from a pastoral perspective.

Q: What challenges have you faced and how have you addressed concerns about proselytizing?

What can the church do for children with additional needs?
Q: Why partner with a local church instead of operating independently as a private therapy service?
Partnering with a local church enables scalable, trusted access within communities, aligns with the church's role as a community hub, and allows free therapy to remain accessible while integrating spiritual support where appropriate.
Psychedelics: Shamans, the philosophy of Harry Potter and the neuroscientific turn
Q: How do we feel about fiddling with brain chemistry and giving ourselves deliberate hallucinations for therapeutic use?
Skepticism persists especially regarding the motives of pharmaceutical companies.
What makes the church vulnerable to abusers?
Q: Do you think it's possible to purge the culture of what is negative without losing its distinctive conservative evangelical convictions?
There is hope if the focus returns to what Jesus teaches about love, equality, and challenging authority.
