Helpful and insightful interviews.
The tone is inviting and refreshing, regardless of the topic at hand. I am regularly helped in rethinking areas that I need to see in a new light, not to mention that I find encouragement from the stories of each guest.
I love the thought that goes before choosing a guest. Paul Kingsnorth provided valuable ways of thinking about the environment. Will give it a re-listen
It cannot be just me, but it seems that there is volume issues with this podcast, well actually all the Justin Brierley podcasts. In comparison to other podcasts in Apple Podcasts the sound drops so low that when this podcast ends and the other begins my ears ring out and I have to jump to adjust levels once again. I think in mastering please check the sound levels. It will make the podcast more enjoyable to listen.
Thoughtful, analytical and intelligent discussion of issues that make you stop and think. It encourages you to examine your own beliefs and where they come from, rather than making sweeping assumptions based on cultural expectations and the often uninformed opinions of others. I’m not a Christian but I have learnt so much. Top notch listening, thank you!

A thoughtful, conversation-driven program that brings together religious leaders, theologians, writers, artists, and public intellectuals to explore faith, culture, and society. Episodes frequently center on how spirituality intersects with creativity, ethics, politics, and everyday life, often through storytelling, historical insight, and constructive dialogue. Noteworthy is the emphasis on hospitality toward differing views, a willingness to wrestle with big questions, and a style that blends scholarly rigor with accessible storytelling. This makes it appealing to listeners who want depth without dogmatism and to potential guests seeking thoughtful engagement with faith-informed culture and public life.
