I’m a former pastor, and between my own negative experiences and all of the stories of pastors and churches abusing their congregations, it became easy to begin questioning how much good the Church actually has done. Thank you for telling the stories of the spread of the Gospel and these heroes of the Faith. I’ve been a believer for 54 years, and hearing these names and stories again is so comforting, and is a challenge. When I was a young Christian, missionaries and the missionary life were prominent. This seems to have changed to hardly hearing about missions, and almost never being encouraged to think if that calling may be ours. I love hearing all these stories, some for the first time.
