John Piper answers questions in a very pastoral way while also being thorough and biblical. He does not shy away from difficult questions and explains the reasons for his answers well.
I love this podcast almost as much as the short devotional podcasts. I am reading Brother Lawrence right now. It seems like he lived in a state of Christian hedonism. The Practice of the Presence of God would be a great quick read for more inspiration, if you’ve never read a copy. I’d love to hear the opinions of John regarding this little volume and would find it hard to believe it hasn’t been referenced by Pastor John at some point.
Preaching to self using scripture is the best. The LORD GOD lifts us to His very heart! The Blessings of God absorbs into our very being as we yield to the LORD. MIGHTY GOD cleanses our spirit and fills us with his all-sufficient peace and grace.
