This is compelling listening and it regularly brought me to tears. Great historical context from author of the book, Don Miller. A wonderful tribute to the men who took to the air to keep us safe. Well worth a listen and a great accompaniment to the TV show. I thoroughly enjoyed it. May the men of bomber command rest in peace and we thank them for their service, as well as Playtone and the outstanding National World War Two Musuem in New Orleans. This is not only a great background pod on the The Masters of the Air book and series. It’s also a great overall look at the operations of the 100th.
Just finished the podcast and television series. Thank You to the WW2 Museum, podcast participants and series creators. Your efforts are so appreciated!
In this trying time in America and the world, this show is very much needed…

My grandfather was a navigator/bombardier on B-24 in the same group. He passed away when I was young, so I didn’t have the chance to ask him about the war. I have always wondered what his experience was like. The show and podcast have given me so much insight in to what he went through. Thank you for sharing this important history, and showing what life was like in the air and as a POW. My grandfather was captured on his third mission. Please keep telling these stories.
