For anyone following Maine politics
Big fan. Very excited to get local political news that’s not corrupted by financial incentives.
My only complaint is that Maine Public is quite small; if someone is subscribed to MPP then more likely than not, they are subscribed to TDIM as well. Having to listen to the same news on both podcasts really detracts from the impact they have.
I appreciate it’s the only source of local Maine political analysis, hence I tune in. Good balance between statewide analysis and discussion of local/state legislature. That said, Mistler and O’Leary clearly lean right in their election analysis takes. A better setup would have one conservative and one progressive commentator, rather than two conservatives pretending to provide neutral analysis.
the best and most concise source of maine political news.
Glad to have political news to listen to in the morning!
