  • Great for librarians & music lovers

As an academic librarian, this is my favorite library podcast. I learn something new nearly every week, I love the guests they choose for the show, and the entire crew is great. As a music lover, I appreciate the broad range of rock featured on the show--from oldies to contemporary bands. I love that the playlist is thematic and often assigned Library of Congress call numbers (how else would academic librarians identify groups of songs?). This show is an absolute joy to listen to. <3

Episode 666: The Number of the Beast: Setting the Record Straight (To Hell)
Q: Dr. Thomas, can you talk about like the devil now and, and how you see that in AI?
I don't think AI itself is the devil, but I think there's a conversation here to be had around how the early Christians were dealing with that illusion and how they began to discern what's true, what's real, what's good.
Episode 665: Interacting With Media In The Zone
Q: Who's idea was it, and how did you get the privilege and honor of bringing that idea to life?
The idea stemmed from a renovation of the library centered on showcasing digital scholarship and was shaped by collaborative efforts from various faculty and students.
Episode 665: Interacting With Media In The Zone
Q: So tell us about the Interactive Media Zone. If you're standing in front of it, what do you see?
It's a large space with a big curved screen and multiple touch devices allowing for interaction and showcasing digital work.

Q: How do participants find studies in treatments like this?
Participants sometimes come well-informed, often finding studies online or through advocacy groups.
