As a new PJ fan, I’m enjoying listening to this pod and then watching the shows online after hearing the in depth analysis. Great job and thank you!
Downgraded in July 2025 because of some focus shifts. Seeming to stray from the consistency and message and focus of the podcast. They may need to consider other voices or adjustments to keep the consistency. It doesn’t mean the newer focus materials are bad but it lessens the need for the patreon as it encroaches on what the patreon had going on and what other Pearl Jam podcasts do. Doesn’t seem to have the direction it once did.
I’m a huge PJ fan, and I’m sure the commentary and insight by these guys is good but their tone and voices are unlistenable. I’ve tried multiple times to get through an episode for shows I’ve attended and I just can’t do it.
I appreciate this show. They tend to be homers about old shows from classic era Pearl Jam and tend to dismiss Backspacer era shows .Randy has done a better job being more kind to guests and his co-host John. Trends are in the right direction. Five stars is given for the effort and overall solid research. It’s not a perfect show but I do have to reward the effort that I wouldn’t do myself. I hope John comes back. He was a great foil for Randy.
Came across this one by accident, and so glad I did. The guys do an excellent job recapping Pearl Jam shows, with excellent use of clips interspersed seamlessly throughout the show. Really nice commentary and also happy to see that they are some critical of the boys, which makes the whole thing feel more valuable and not just fan service. Keep up the great work!
