  • Excessive and poorly edited ads ruin the experience

I love the interviews but the Stone Goddard one had ads that jumped in and interrupted in the MIDDLE OF AN ANSWER. 2 minutes of talking then 2 minutes of jammed in ads. Unlistenable! Space the ads out.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Lou Gramm of Foreigner (video)
Q: What was the first audition like for you after Mick Jones invited you to join his new project?
The audition process involved traveling to New York, meeting at Mick's rehearsal room in his penthouse, and writing together in a makeshift setup; the moment you knew there was chemistry was when the ideas clicked and the collaboration felt natural, setting the stage for a sustained partnership.
DE'WAYNE
Q: How did you discover your voice and what shaped your early musical direction?
The guest explains growing up in a religious household, the shift from hip-hop to rock after discovering Bowie and Iggy Pop, moving to LA at 19, and gradually finding a confident, authentic voice through discipline, practice, and mentorship.
Bilmuri
Q: What's the story behind the Better Hell video and its impact on your career?
It represented a deliberate rejection of ego-driven high-art concepts; the lawn-mowing video resonated with audiences and triggered major label attention, accelerating his trajectory into bigger stages.
Bilmuri
Q: What led you to pursue a solo project after Attack Attack!?
A combination of creative frustration with the band's democratic process and a personal need to express ideas freely; he began learning to record and eventually built Bilmuri around self-made demos.
Bilmuri (Video)
Q: What was the most challenging part of writing More Than Hate, and how did the collaboration with Sam Hollander influence it?
We iterated through many versions, chasing the right balance between melody and lyrical aggression. Sam brought strong lyric ideas and a plan to push the structure, while I focused on the vocal performance and arrangement, ultimately choosing the first take as the final version due to its immediacy.
