  • Omg a Pearl Jam podcast

Don’t know why it never occurred to me that someone would have one. Which I found them years ago. Something made me think to check a couple weeks ago.

When I say I was a huge PJ fan most of my life… I had a personalized license plate back in the 90’s. This is amazing. I’ve been missing so much since I stopped paying attention and this makes me feel like getting a Spin or Rolling Stone magazine again

  • A must for Peal Jam fans

Such a great podcast for Pearl Jam fans. Jason and Paul do a great job of reviewing and analyzing the band in so many ways. I especially enjoy their Retro Reviews (I keep track of their scores and compare them to mine and my friends’) and their Playlists episode. This podcast, as well as the band itself, has helped me through tough times. Thanks Jason and Paul!!

David Catching & Rancho de la Luna Recording Studio
Q: Who is one artist you'd still love to work with at Rancho, and what would you cook for them?
Brian Eno is the dream collaboration; hosting him would include preparing a risotto inspired by Anthony Bourdain, reflecting the studio's hospitality-forward culture.
David Catching & Rancho de la Luna Recording Studio
Q: Has the blurred line between work and home at Rancho ever affected a record's outcome?
Mostly positive; the relaxed, home-like environment tends to foster creativity and collaboration, with only a couple of sessions not turning out as planned due to the performers' dynamics rather than the space itself.
David Catching & Rancho de la Luna Recording Studio
Q: Do musicians need better tech, more time, or permission to fail to thrive creatively?
David Catching emphasizes that time is the most precious resource; many artists self-fund and rush albums, so giving them room to experiment and not rush the process yields better, more authentic results.
Tigercub's Jamie Stephen Hall
Q: Are there topics you've avoided writing about or found too personal to share?
Yes, there are subjects that are too sensitive for direct attribution, so he chooses to anonymize or omit certain details to protect friends and loved ones, while still expressing authentic emotion.
Tigercub's Jamie Stephen Hall
Q: How do you balance instinct and refinement in songwriting without losing the original spark?
Jamie explains that initial ideas are captured with as little self-editing as possible and then refined in collaboration, using a balance of forward motion and careful polishing to preserve the core truth of the idea.
