Bill Walton on David Halberstam and his book the Breaks of the Game is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever heard. I didn’t fully appreciate Bill’s storytelling ability after hearing him call games but that was amazing. Makes me want to read the book and then listen to this one back.
Curtis owns one of the more distinctly unpleasant laughs in podcasting. He opines in his faux-humble Texas drawl about the lunacy of the world all while contributing nothing of substance of originality. His take on the meme culture around the pop-tart and mayonnaise bowl games signifying blind allegiance to brands was laughably out of touch and frankly idiotic.
