  • Way too much LSU, TCU and ACC

I really enjoy listening to all three of these guys in other Ringer pods. BUT, all three of them seem to be incapable of turning their TCU, LSU and ACC fandom off when they do this pod. So unless you’re a fan of LSU or TCU or an ACC school, it’s really a waste of time to listen to the 90-120 minute episodes that have an inordinate amount of time committed to those subjects.

  • Van is trash

Decent podcast that they clearly think they are doing more than actually are. unfollowed because couldn’t take any more of Van Lathan’s anti Latino sentiments, constantly trying to fuel prejudice towards Latinos whenever he can with sly comments. Whether it’s Cubans, Argentinians, he always finds a way to sneak comments in there to fuel hate. We hear you bro, go off, but you can miss me with that.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Todd McShay Joins, and Week Zero Has Arrived
Q: When did you first feel confident in your opinion about a prospect going against NFL evaluators?
Todd McShay shared that confidence often built over years of watching full seasons, revisiting notes, and cross‑checking with medical and character information, rather than a single moment.
A Very Special Listener “Tailbag” Episode
Q: As the Big Whigs tinker with the playoff each year, how likely is it that we'll someday have qualifying rules for conference champions that encourage the best of the power forward to break off into smaller power conferences to increase their chances of playing for a national championship?
The hosts express skepticism that TV networks and financial incentives would allow such reorganization, arguing realignments would be driven by money and media deals rather than purely competitive considerations, making a universal automatic qualifier unlikely in the near term.
Brendan Sorsby’s Lawyer, Jeffrey Kessler, Joins. Plus, Collective Bargaining in CFB
Q: What were the two factors the court said the NCAA policy should consider in Brendan Sorsby's case?
The policy should consider whether the player had no corrupt conduct and whether a mental health issue existed, which could warrant supportive treatment rather than punitive action, including potential reinstatement.
CFB Headlines and a Final Four Preview With Clark Kellogg
Q: From your perspective, who is the most dominant Final Four frontcourt matchup this year?
Clark Kellogg highlights Arizona's frontcourt strength and Michigan's interior presence as the two most imposing ensembles, suggesting the matchup could decide the outcome based on interior play and frontcourt dominance.
South Carolina Legend Marcus Lattimore Shares How Football Shaped His Life. Then, a Tailgate Race Sparks Combine Hype
Q: What one piece of advice would you give to incoming freshmen in college football?
Safeguard the joy you felt playing the game by keeping your circle positive, talking about overwhelm, and building emotional resilience with trusted people around you.
