  • A great way to discover new music

Cliff has an amazing ability to unearth new (and old) gems. It’s such a good way to find new things and broaden your musical enjoyment. I don’t like everything he plays - but that’s the point, because he doesn’t play safe or stick to the same old. I listen to a few prog podcasts and this is the best to my ears: well researched, consistently interesting and a really good DJ who does not take themselves too seriously.

  • Incredible consistency

I’m a long-term listener over several years. The quantity and quality of the podcast is superb. Cliff is incredibly knowledgeable on all of prog’s subgenres as well as the musical spectrum beyond prog. He has helped me find so much new and old music I’d never otherwise have encountered.

  • Hit and Miss.

I have enjoyed this podcast for some years now, but I have to say that it is very hit and miss in terms of selections. I have to sift through a lot of cheese in order to get to the real gold, but I guess that is what happens when you play close to 2 hours of prog per show. If I’m going to keep listening, there is going to have be less stuff like the Earth & Fire track I heard from the last show (which was truly unbearable) and more real quality stuff. Anyway, keep progging! I’m glad you are figh... more

Live From Progzilla Towers – Edition 557 – Bass Legends
Q: Why did you choose to highlight the female bass player Michelle Ndega-Chela in your selections?
I wanted to present a female bass player as there are far too few in the spotlight, and Michelle’s music has a gritty, modern Motown legacy that is brilliant.
Live From Progzilla Towers – Edition 557 – Bass Legends

The theme revolves around the constant change of everything in life, exploring the idea of flux both globally and personally.
