Q: Just so people understand a little bit of your background, how did you get started in the foster care process and why did you say yes to this path?
I started as a volunteer in a group home, was encouraged to take the next step by a supervisor who believed I'd be good at fostering, and after some training I began taking placements, which began after a Bears win in 1986.
