  • Awesome

I listen to this podcast as a 12 year old girl, and the information is extremely helpful during my day-to-day life. I have learned many tools to cope with anxiety and other personal issues, and it has really been a game changer. Highly recommend. (Also, I think that Lisa’s voice ads to the overall affect)

  • Social media episode

As a pediatrician and the mother of 2 teens, I listened to this episode eagerly because it comes up in my daily practice and my life. • Just a bunch of neurotic nonsense for modern parents who want to be hand held through very normal things. Nothing they say is particularly insightful and the problems they address are mostly in the minds of paranoid parents. Please dont listen to this show, its just not worth the time.

Q: Can you talk us through what toxic stress means in the online context for developing nervous systems?
Toxic stress arises from repeated activation of the body's stress response without adequate buffering from caring adults; online content can trigger this, influencing brain, immune, and hormonal development, and even how DNA is read, making caregiver presence and open conversations crucial.
