I use this resource as one of my inputs for sermon prep as well as for my own edification. I know it takes time but also know it is time well spent serving the Church at large which aligns perfectly with Concordia Seminary’s mission. Keep up the great work!
This podcast provides some really profound insight to the upcoming readings on Sunday morning. Jessica, thanks for getting this on the air and for all of your questions that the laity might ask about the text being discussed. Thanks to Dr. Schmitt and Dr. Nafzger for their pastoral explanations and personal insights. Just picked up the book written by Dr Nafzger “These are Written” and can’t wait to dig into it. God’s blessings to all and hope this podcast continues for many years to come before... more
Thankful to be able to continue to learn from these preachers. Keep up the great work.
While we don’t always follow the lectionary due to our sermon series I always appreciate the helpful insights when the texts align with our preaching schedule. Keep up the great work!
I listen weekly. I love how the Pastors/Professors talk about avenues that one might go down or explore rather than just handing you their sermon. They invite thoughtfulness and leave room for the Holy Spirit to work. They give tips on WHY they might approach the message one way or another and what to think about, what to look out for, and along with the host are always considering how one might hear this in their own setting, background, life, etc. more
