出國後，在很多場合裡，常常會有成為全場唯一亞洲人的時候。這種感覺很微妙，好像你在裡面，但又總是被提醒，你和別人不太一樣。也因為這種既融入又突兀的感覺，讓我們開始更敏銳地看見「多元」其實沒那麼容易。
後來做治療工作，開始更深地去看見，多元文化不只是背景差異，它也會影響我們怎麼理解關係、脈絡，還有「誰比較有聲音」。
