  • Thank you

I’ve been an addict my entire adult life. I have gone through opiate withdrawal and swore I would never do that again. I am 3 years off alcohol, but somewhere around 7 months sober, I found 7-OH. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

E194 J.P.
Q: How did Suboxone fit into your recovery, and what helped you stay on track?
Suboxone provided a foundation for stability, but the key was taking it at a controlled pace, avoiding self-medication with Kratom, and pairing medication with therapy, journaling, spiritual growth, and lifestyle changes.
E194 J.P.
Q: What made you realize Kratom was becoming a problem, and what steps did you take to address it?
The issue became clear when Kratom use started to dominate daily life and travel; I sought information, consulted professionals, and eventually pursued a taper plan with an addiction specialist and, later, Suboxone to manage withdrawal and cravings while building a broader recovery toolkit.
E194 J.P.
Q: When were you first introduced to Kratom, and what drew you to it as a potential harm-reduction option?
I was introduced to Kratom around 2019 as I was starting to restructure my relationship with alcohol; it initially helped with sociability and energy, but over time the reliance grew and the use escalated beyond control.
E190 Jack
Q: What was your Kratom quit date?
My Kratom quit date would have been August 13th of 25th.
184 Jude
Q: If somebody's listening right now who feels unsure or unqualified or not sick enough to quit, what would you want them to hear from you?
Get a little worried about the poison that you're ingesting and think about the imprint you want to leave.
