Dopey Podcast is the world’s greatest podcast on drugs, addiction and dumb shit. Chris and I were two IV heroin addicts who loved to talk about all the coke we smoked, snorted and shot, all the pills we ate, smoked, all the weed we smoked and ate, all the booze we consumed and all the consequences we suffered. After making the show for 2 and a half years, Chris tragically relapsed and died from a ... more

I started listening about 3 months ago and I’m 80 episodes in. I can safely say Dave and Chris are like brothers now. My heart breaks in advance knowing that Chris’s last episode will inevitably come but I give major kudos to Dave on continuing the work. The format (or lack there of ) is brilliant and the banter never gets old. Cathartic abusive waitering in podcast form. Don’t change a thing but keep keeping on. Shout out to thee entire dopey nation!
Dave has gotten better every year with his interviewing skills. He’s created more than a podcast with Dopey. He’s created a community of diverse voices and opinions regarding drug addiction and recovery. One of the best 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I’ve been listening about 5 years. When I learned about Chris’ passing I literally stopped in my tracks and cried like a baby. I kept going. I wanna be good so bad… I just . Can’t. Stop. I adore Dave, he helps me remember there is another way. His interviewing skills have sharpened and he has a beautiful, benign way of excising the truth. He helps me stay alive. I have to get back home.
Hi Dave! Love the show! Been listening for about a year now. Keep up the good work! I like the 5 dopey days a week, and I have been trying to listen to all the old ones with Chris, but it makes me kinda sad. I lost my significant other to addiction 10 years ago, but I have been clean for a long time now and love the connection all of us ex dopes have! Toodles to Chris! xoxo, Jenny
Hi, I have been listening to Dopey for approximately 3 years now and I have also been in recovery, (clean and sober) for the same amount of time! This show helps me stay in recovery! I always learn and hear great tips on how to stay aways from both alcohol and drugs by listening to all the episodes! I am so thankful that there is such a show for people to openly talk about drug and alcohol use has it is 100 % real and nobody here is ashamed to admit that they have either had or have a proble... more
