Dopey Podcast is the world’s greatest podcast on drugs, addiction and dumb shit. Chris and I were two IV heroin addicts who loved to talk about all the coke we smoked, snorted and shot, all the pills we ate, smoked, all the weed we smoked and ate, all the booze we consumed and all the consequences we suffered. After making the show for 2 and a half years, Chris tragically relapsed and died from a ... more

  • 2017!

I got into this show the first year of sobriety. 2017 was an amazing season of change for me. And that rough first year it was so helpful having Dave and Chris keep me company. I stuck with it and now have a family of my own and a life to be proud of. I’ve traveled to Dopeycon twice now and intend on going every year as long as it’s a thing. Seeing Dave, Ray, Allen, Linda, and all of the other characters in person was exhilarating and intimidating. I’m so glad to have gotten to know all of... more

  • Great company!

This is a celebration of humanity! It’s loving people despite their messing up (or you don’t mess up, dear?)

Alan should have a segment on how to make a fortune, I’d see value :)

  • Someone who can balance out the crack stories with gratitude & grace.

Dave is by far one of my top 3 favorite podcasters. He is a breath of fresh air in the recovery world. Dave has the ability to shine light on what the life is like for a serious drug addict, even the grossest, lowest, absolutely bizarre moments of people’s stories, with a lighthearted and enlightened approach. Sometimes when I listen to this podcast, it makes me wanna get high for maybe a glimpse of a second, but then there’s always the reminder of what is lost in the high & what can only be fou... more
