If you love AC/DC, as I do, you’ll enjoy 2 fans talking about their albums and cultural impact. For what it’s worth, John, a little less extensive quoting of lyrics. We’re not casual fans listening to something like this. We know the words. Quoting them at length and then noting that they sound pretty cool (For Those About to Rock episode) adds nothing to the show. JMO.
I absolutely love Martin’s books and his podcasts. It’s the only reason I checked out Kicked in the Teeth. The reason for the 3 star review is due to John. His thoughts about the albums are good. However, he constantly finds it necessary to SING his thoughts and it’s just cringeworthy. It totally ruins the moment and makes me want to skip his parts completely, which is a shame.
Love this show! Martin Popoff is a legend of rock and roll journalism, a great author, and YouTuber. And I like John as well, from his superb podcast Into The Void. These guys know their music and their AC/DC!
