I’ve been listening to this pod for a while now and Martin’s breadth of knowledge across rock music is quite impressive. He packs more information into a short 15-30 minute podcast than many longer form shows do. Also he gives a lot of love to overlooked bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s and has turned me on to some great tunes!
I consider myself quite knowledgeable on modern Heavy Metal (2000s onwards) but do know my fair share about traditional metal, but I found myself wanting to dig deeper and go further into the roots and origins ans then I found this amazing podcast that does exactly that - Martin is very knowledgeable and certainly knows his Metal. Love hearing this guy talk about music.Discovered him on a YouTube channel called Sea Of Tranquility.He is a regular guest on there.Was hoping to find his book about Blue Oyster Cult on here but this show will keep me occupied for awhile.
