  • My Favorite Show

Everything I know I learned from watching The Journey Home. I heard of this show about five years ago when my Bible study teacher forgot to bring the DVD she was planning on having us watch that night in class. We watched an episode of The Journey Home instead and I knew I had to have more. I subsequently watched every episode (there are about a thousand episodes now) starting with the first. The converts taught me everything I didn’t know about the faith into which I was born. Thank you EWTN fo... more

  • Journey Home

One of my top two podcasts ever very onspiring. How so many men and women end up becoming Catholic for some reason or another. Thank you God! These stories are written with crooked lines, but God was writing with straight lines.

  • The irresistible call

I have been watching this programme for years on EWTN. Every life story, every journey is unique, yet somehow familiar. I never fail to be inspired by how the Holy Spirit works in our lives. Excellent podcast. I recommend going back to the website and watching all of the programmes from the beginning.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Michael Garcia - Former United Pentecostal Pastor
Q: What is a word of encouragement you can give them as they continue to explore and ask questions?
Look into the history of the Church and see where it connects with the biblical narrative.
Bishop Earl Fernandes -Lifelong Catholic
Q: Can you talk a little bit about the nature of vocation, the call?
Everyone is called by name to be His child, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we cry out, 'Abba, Father.' We are always called to follow Him and to discern our specific path in life whether it is marriage, religious life, or priesthood.
Deacon Matt Halbach - Catholic Revert
Q: Was this maybe the first time you'd sort of been able to open up and share anything about that?
Yes, 100%.
Fr. Scott Wooten - Former Episcopal Priest
Q: How was the experience of feeling that call but not being sure where to take it?
It's important to take the next step in faith, rather than overthinking what comes after that.
Fr. Scott Wooten - Former Episcopal Priest
Q: What word of encouragement might you give to those pastors who may be considering becoming Catholic?
Always trust in God. If you hear the call, God will find a way. I never went hungry. I never went without a roof over my head.
