  • Doesn't work

The podcasts don't actually load - after you download an episode all the loads is a document with a screen capture. There is no link and no audio. Unless I'm doing something wrong this is a total waste of time.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

‘Scrappy’ Learner Champions AI in Claims
Q: Will there be a human being involved ultimately in claims?
Yes. Humans will handle higher-level tasks that require empathy and complex judgment, while automation handles repetitive, data-heavy steps and decision-support, freeing adjusters to focus more on claimant engagement and nuanced care decisions.
‘Scrappy’ Learner Champions AI in Claims
Q: So, tell us how you are deploying AI in what you do?
We deploy AI in stages: first, batch-in anonymized cases into cohorts; then apply predictive analytics to estimate reserves and costs, followed by propensity scoring for settlement or litigation. We augment with GENAI to summarize cases, extract notes, and surface next-best actions through a portal that clients log into daily.
Inside Today’s Claims Departments: Caseloads, Culture, and Change
Q: Can you talk about that?
The guest explains balancing caseloads through early career recruits, training, centralized data, and teamwork to prevent burnout, as well as practical measures like reallocating less complex cases as more complex ones are handled by a dedicated support group.
Cloud Dependency in 2026: Bigger Infrastructure, Bigger Consequences | Risky Future Event
Q: Could you just explain the current state of cloud dependencies in 2026?
The guest explains that all IT setups, whether on-prem or cloud-based, rely on various core infrastructures, and that outages can result from simple misconfigurations or authentication/DNS failures, affecting large regions and even entire coastlines. The takeaway is that dependency is pervasive across architectures and resilience remains a critical concern.
What Happens When the Cloud Fails? | Risky Future Event
Q: What are the practical gaps brokers should warn clients about before a cloud outage hits?
Gaps include exclusions for power outages, lack of dependent business interruption endorsement, and cyber policies that don't trigger for systemic failures caused by third-party cloud providers.
