  • Wanted More Depth

There's so much potential here, but as someone who grew up in a conservative religious household and then converted to leftism, I'm finding the hosts' interpretations of conservatives' motives often lack insight. I agree with the reviewer who noted that the research often doesn't go deep enough. Listeners looking for more detail might like 'Know Your Enemy' or 'In Bed With the Right'.

I can forgive a lot of podcast faults for good cohost chemistry, but this show feels unbalanced. Josh comes of... more

  • Listened to only 2 episodes and I can already tell this is my new favourite podcast

The episodes in question were about Childhood and the IQ nonsense, respectively, both of which made me want to email the hosts to tell them how much I agree with them and the relief their words in those episodes have provided to my personal experiences. Review > trauma dumping in the mailbag, probably, so: thank you, I look forward to listening to the other episodes.

  • One Podcast Theory

I have recently realised that all of the podcasts I’m listening to, are just one big podcast. Right now, inside my mind, there are miles of walls covered with layers of informations. Like old posters on the street lamp posts. Between them, there is a dense net of red thread connecting together “monsters thar are making this world a worse place”. “Ill Conceived” plays another big role in this process.

You might think that natalism is it’s own, independent thing. Not really connected to anything, ... more

  • Yikes!

Just 2 relatively ill-informed guys trying to talk intelligently without doing proper research (“I skim read the book”). Ill Conceived is ironically the best title for this podcast

  • A great and special show

June and Josh (sorry Josh) do an incredible job digging into weirdo freaks who are obsessed with sperm counts and baby numbers, and the ways in which the American conservative religions have helped shape our current moment. As someone who grew up in a conservative religious community and family, this hits a special place in my heart and helps describe where a lot of these ideas come from
