The best movie review pod with the best and most intersectional and humourous hosts
A movie podcast where one of the hosts, a Hollywood actress, has never heard of Dan Aykroyd or John Belushi is incredible work.
Hilarious.
Fantastic in every way. Even if you love James Bond.
I found this podcast because I liked Philosophy Tube (at the time) and I thought I’d look for more stuff with her in it. Unfortunately after a while it became clear that Abigail Thorn is pretty bad at talking without a script (she almost never has anything interesting to say about whichever film they’re talking about) and has an incredibly grating personality overall. The other two hosts are great but Abigail Thorn is too unbearable for it to be worth listening to.

The show centers on film and pop culture analysis delivered with sharp banter and a feminist-informed lens. Episodes routinely dissect notable genre films and franchises, weighing themes like masculinity, representation, politics, and cultural context, while mixing personal anecdotes and humor. The trio sustains a conversational, opinionated vibe and often references production trivia, industry trends, and broader social issues, making it appealing to listeners who enjoy thoughtful critique anchored in wit. A recurring strength is its willingness to challenge cheery fan-favorite narratives and spotlight underrepresented perspectives, alongside occasional guest perspectives and ongoing Patreon-driven content.
