As a terminally online tankie podslop lover I can’t stop listening to this.
For people who claim to be chronically online, why is every other sentence out of their mouths “well I haven’t seen…” “well I don’t know who that is…”. Feels like a show poking fun at subcultures they don’t care enough to do even the most basic research on.
Fresh voices funny and smart awesome
Used to sub to the Patreon but I’ve since cancelled. I like Jun and Caleb, both can be really funny and I agree with their politics. The problem is the podcast is too unfocused and surface level when they deep dive into interesting topics. It’s kind of like someone reading a Wikipedia summary but having to stop every paragraph for a diatribe or a bit. The best episodes are the tweet brackets where they can just riff and don’t need to be subject matter experts
A podcast for and by terminally online tankies in the most derogatory sense. They try to cover serious topics but struggle to get even basic facts right and aren’t even entertaining while doing it.
CZM has far better podcasts in this vein run by people whose brains haven’t been scrambled by Twitter.

The show blends sharp humor with pointed takes on how online culture bleeds into real-world politics, media, and everyday life. Episodes span topics from social dynamics in online communities and fandoms to the economics and ethics of clip culture, influencer branding, and AI in law and tech. A recurring strength is a candid, sardonic lens on tech media, with guests ranging from independent journalists and legal experts to writers and musicians, often challenging established narratives and offering fresh, insider perspectives. The format tends to mix rigorous critique with irreverent banter, making it a fit for listeners who enjoy high-velocity, opinionated discourse about the internet, culture, and technology, with occasional deep dives in... more
