  • Has potential, but unlistenable

There is good content in here, but the audio quality is just not acceptable, especially for a podcast targeting musicians who care about… audio. Fixing this, and putting more effort into the overall editing would help greatly.

Q: What are your thoughts on mastering, and on mastering for vinyl?
She describes mastering as a finishing process with substantial technical nuance, not just turning up the loudness. She notes that vinyl mastering is a distinct craft that should be handled by a specialist and that while vinyl is desirable, it's not mandatory for every project; the decision depends on the artist and budget.

Q: Izzy asks about advice Naomi would give to students about leveraging their local scenes and small communities, given Cape Cod's tight-knit environment.

S5.1/E78: Get Your Art Together With Naomi Westwater

She emphasizes that while formal study is helpful, the field rewards field experience, experimentation, and being willing to learn from every opportunity; college is a protective space to take risks and receive feedback before entering the real world.
