I was listening to episode 8 and the husbands of the two widows on the show passed away September 29th, my husband also passed away September 29th, exactly a year and a half today from a sudden and unexpected heart attack just like one of the guests on the podcast. I am now raising two little girls, at the time of his passing they were 4 and 6. I feel more overwhelmed and hopeless now than I did after he passed. This podcast has been an encouragement to me.
Lori is an exceptional example. A beacon in the night. Her ministry is helping so many of us walking paths of grief and loss as moms of fatherless children. She is an answer to prayer. It is clear this is her calling. Through podcasts she has also brought on board others to speak into our lives and circumstances. It has helped me immensely as I navigate this journey of widowhood with 2 sons. Forever grateful. Praise God for her example and steadfast willingness to be used of God.
This podcast has been a miracle the last few days that I have listened. I have every intention to go back and listen from the beginning. I wish I found it sooner. I’m almost 7 year out from the loss of my husband. I had two beautiful children with him. They were just babies 4 and 6 weeks when he died. This podcast is heaven sent. I just know it will help me with them now and well into the future. I appreciate the resources that Lori shares as well. God Bless her and her children.
