We're 82 episodes in and I (Harper) still managed to schedule the podcast recording at the same time the gardeners showed up at our apartment! Some things never change! (Sorry for the background mowing noises.) more
This week on Hawkeyes, Onion falls in love, Harper loses her mind and swears at Ethan Hawke (we love you come on the show!), and Jonathan might be repeating a Hawk Fact?? Thankfully we have Shelby Copple (@yogurt_land _unofficial) to join us through ... more
Just the two of us for the very last time! No, this isn't the last episode, we just have guests for the final three. We manage not to fight on this episode, but we do get into Ethan Hawke's new novel, the Super Bowl, and, of course, The Good Lord Bir... more
We're talking Hogwarts houses, we're talking Denzel, we're talking The 4400! But most of all we're talking about Ethan Hawke in the third episode of The Good Lord Bird with special guest, Kevin Avery (@kevinaverycomedy, Denzel Washington Is The Great... more
Gio Bayani is back for a forth episode, which means he's only one away from a free sub. This was a tough episode to watch and talk about, but it was good to see more Onion. Plus, Steve Zahn!
Everything has led to this! We're back and we're talking all about Ethan Hawke's most recent project, The Good Lord Bird. And for the very first episode, we're joined by the wonderful Shereen Lani Younes (@sheerohero, Ethnically Ambiguous)!
We're talking Tesla (no, not that one) and AC/DC (no, not that one) as we discuss this offbeat biopic with special return guest, Steve Greene (Indiewire, @stevebruin).

As someone who had never seen an Ethan Hawke movie before meeting Harper, I have learned so much from this podcast. Harper and Jonathan are perfect hosts that Ethan Hawke should be friends with.
Harper and Jonathan's journey through Ethan Hawke's filmography movie-by-movie is fun and hilarious. Add in their weekly hawk fact and you get a nice mix of education and levity!
Harper and Jonathan totally rule. I never honestly thought I’d care much for an Ethan Hawke podcast, but here I am, week in and week out, listening to their show. more
Would indie podcast be an appropriate way to describe Hawkeyes? I’m not sure, but what I am sure of is that this podcast is charming through and through. I myself am not wholly interested in Ethan Hawks but this podcast has certainly charmed and enlightened me to some of his great artistic merits. Love the candor of cohosts Harper and Jonathan and throughly excited to see where this duo goes.
What a treasure of a podcast! The hosts make you feel like you’re hanging out with friends and having a “fireside discussion” about the creative genius of Ethan Hawke. Very well produced and an all around great time!
Harper and Jonathan’s knowledge of Ethan Hawke’s filmography is unparalleled. Their passion for Ethan Hawke is so palpable and their film insights are wonderful. Listening to the Hawkeyes Podcast brings back the nostalgia of watching movies with a couple of friends at a sleepover. Would recommend!
This podcast is charming and with no pretense about what it is. Hawkeyes serves as a way to sit down and riff on Ethan Hawke movies with a circle of friends. Sometimes meandering, sometimes to the point, Hawkeyes offers an enjoyable mix of comedy and poignant analysis. Hosts Jonathan and Harper do a great job of making everything approachable and entertaining while their guests add additional flair. So sit down, have a drink in hand, and enjoy.
Wow this podcast is a true GEM. I really only knew Ethan Hawke as the beautiful man from Gattaca but he’s so much more. Harper and Jonathan have really convinced me that he’s a true Hollywood angel. PLUS the hawk facts are fire~
