I have learned 3 things from this podcast. 1. All my favorite movies from my youth are problematic but I will continue to watch them. 2. I don’t remember the first time I have seen any movie. 3. Erika’s rants and Paul’s uncontrollable laughter give me the greatest joy. Final thought? No notes!!
The chemistry between Paul and Erika is nothing short of magical. They make each other laugh through a mix of clever jokes, silly situations, and filthy perverted humor. I began listening to That Aged Well when I wanted to do a deep dive of my favorite movie The Talented Mr. Ripley. Many of the episodes are longer than the actual film source, but it’s not filled with eye rolling banter like many other podcasts. I now find myself staying up late on Sunday nights to catch new episodes at midnight.... more
They didn’t kill the Tiger Shark in Jaws for “no reason”. Deleted the download on the spot. Can’t stand listening to non-prepared people.

I discovered this podcast a couple of months ago, and I love it so much! I'm going to be so sad when I finish listening to the backlog and have to wait for new episodes. I do wish I could comment on individual episodes because sometimes they don't mention some of my favorite bits. But really I want to be a guest so I can discuss them myself. Y'all are so fun!

A candid, humor-forward show that revisits beloved but aging pop culture: movies from the 80s and 90s are unpacked with sharp wit, nostalgia, and thoughtful critique. Hosts unpack storytelling choices, gender and representation, and cultural shifts, often weaving in trivia, personal memories, and social context to unpack what still lands—and what doesn't. A standout is the easy chemistry between hosts and a willingness to mix irreverent humor with nuanced takes, plus frequent crossovers with guests from related media spaces to broaden perspectives for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
