Although I managed to move forward and to create a happy life without children, I sometimes get sad especially after a few pregnancy announcements in a row ;) That’s when I like to listen to podcasts like this one where women share their experience. It’s wonderful to know that I am not alone and that there are people out there who understand me. Thank you❤️
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you Helen and all the contributors to this podcast. I found myself with stage 4 endometriosis and having to make the awful decision to preserve my quality of life and have a full hysterectomy at the age of 34. I didn’t think I wanted children but as I’ve got older I’ve had the awful feeling of being ‘other’ - like I’m the odd one out in a room, like I’m going to live a lonely sad life and can’t properly enjoy Easter, halloween or the most amazing holiday... more
Have justl listened to the episode with Jody Day. Wow! Lovely. I loved Helen's questioning and, as you said, Jody's incredibly compassionate responses. Being childless not by choice is never going to be "easy" - life isn't easy is it! - but being inspired to find meaning and befriend my grief has been life changing. Thanks Helen for a wonderful podcast and thanks Jody, many times over, for being such an inspiration.
This podcast inspires me that whatever happens in life, there is always a next chapter even without children.
Listening to this podcast is like listening to a friend chatting. Helen puts all her guests at ease. Informative and entertaining. more
