小說裡不同民族間因為語言、戰爭及支配關係等問題，容易產生摩擦。我覺得很大原因是來自於兩邊不夠理解，沒能將對方視為獨立思考的個體，去意識到不同人會因個人背景而產生相異思考模式，標籤化的舉動讓人容易因自以為了解而做出過於簡單的判斷，這不只是發生在國族議題上，其實在生活中也容易發生這樣的問題，如果我們在做出判斷前，能給對方一次溝通的機會，紛爭是否會減少許多？
