  • Awesome introduction to investing

GSI is a great intro to investing. Just informative, not patronising, and generally has more ‘timeless’ content so you can enjoy the older episodes as the info is still relevant. Bryce and Ren make it fun but also educational.

Can’t thank Bryce and Ren enough for improving my confidence in investing. Investing was a risky world for me before listening to these guys and reading their books. Thanks for breaking it down for beginners and making it a fun podcast to listen to!!

My first financial adviser meeting: how to actually set goals | Jess Gets Investing
Q: Okay. So do you have any advice for me? I'm about to actually see the advisor after this. Anything that you would say that I should prepare or to get the most out of the meeting, like any tips you have for me?
Andrew and Glen suggest laying everything out on the table, listing your top 10 wishes with timeframes, and being prepared to discuss your full financial picture and goals to give the adviser room to offer more options.
I know I should start investing.. why can't I? | Jess Gets Investing
Q: Why do you feel stuck in the first place when it comes to starting investing?
Rebecca explains the blockage is largely psychological—patterns from money memories create fear and avoidance, which can be addressed by making money more transparent, building self-trust, and reframing money as a friend rather than a danger.
10. Back the professionals | 12 Steps to Get Started Investing
Q: How do we actually find great active managers?
Look for a clear, repeatable investment philosophy, a solid track record, and alignment of interests between you and the fund managers.
10. Back the professionals | 12 Steps to Get Started Investing
Q: How do these experts actually play a role in the portfolio?
Experts can add value if they bring diversification or unique exposure that you can't achieve with broader market investments.
11. Tips for buying and selling | 12 Steps to Get Started Investing
Q: How do I know when to sell my investments?
There are three clear reasons to sell: if your original investment thesis no longer stands true, if you've reached your investment goal, or if you need to rebalance your portfolio.
