I love the relaxed, conversational style host Adam Sultan brings to the podcast. It’s refreshing to hear guests discuss, over drinks, their health problems with humor and the wisdom of experience. It feels empowering, and listening actually made me feel less self conscious about my own health/body issues. Recommended!
Adam Sultan is a Renaissance man so being a podcast host is a natural fit. I enjoy these conversations about our bodies which can still be such a mystery even with all that we know.
In a sea of podcasts, occasionally one will surprise you with it's intelligence, sensitivity and humor. "Friends With Deficits" host, Adam Sultan his friends with diseases you've probably never heard of, have cocktails and deep discussions about how they live with, work around and survive these afflictions. Great show! Listen, learn and laugh.
This is more entertaining than one may think. Levity, poignancy, drinks, laughter, fake adds and a healthy (but not too heavy) dose of reality make for one enjoyable podcast, a welcome one in a country that doesn't engage in this sort of frank and open conversation about illness. I recommend it!
