Pretty straightforward read along podcast for the stormlight archives. Hosts are ok, and they’re definitely doing the shows more for themselves than for an audience — which is fine — but leads to a kind of boring listen. One of the hosts doesn’t really seem to follow along and often misses the key theme or point of the chapters they’re covering, which feels odd for a podcast dedicated to it. Still, if it’s more so meant for these guys to catch up with each other, then so be it. Would recommend “... more
First, I’d like tons above been following this podcast since its inception, and have enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, the bigotry on display in the most recent episode regarding Renarin and Relayne is appalling. You were so close to understanding the word and what we are commanded to do and be in the world, and then you blew it. Do better, gentlemen.
Against gay?! I just don't understand why anyone would impose their believes about who to love on someone else (even if supposedly a god said so, a god whose existence is (obviously) not proven, contradictory and whose followers do not even agree on this). This discussion could have easily been skipped because it was completely unnecessary to even mention it as anything awkward or anything at all.
Sadly I will stop listening.
Currently reading the archive and just finished Rhythm of War. This podcast has been an excellent back track starting from the beginning to remind me of what has happened so far. Looking forward to catching up to where I’m currently at in the books!
