  • I LOVE this podcast

This podcast is an exceptional supplement to Sanderson’s works. Somehow I have found myself in my life not surrounded by nerd friends who just want to read and talk about the endless works that Sanderson has to offer. It’s a bit pitiful. This podcast has been a breath of fresh air and nearly everything that I needed as far as discussion and excitement on the Cosmere. The hosts are insightful, funny, and just the right amount of disagreeable. I’ll definitely be subscribing on Patreon. Thanks for ... more

  • Fantastic Discussions!!

I stumbled upon this podcast as I began my first ever foray into the cosmere earlier this year. I had to wait until I was chronologically caught up to 2017 to start listening, but I have been going through the back catalogue and keeping up with where I am in the books. The analysis is thoughtful and informative and the two hosts have great and witty rapport! Highly recommend this podcast!!

  • Awesome lore conversations of you love the Cosmere like me. I love how they sometimes are aligned with my thinking but also give me new ideas and questions to think on. One criticism is pronunciation. I read the books while listening at the same time on Audible. To me Audible versions by Michael and Kate give the ultimate guide to pronunciations and things like Brooke's Aharietiem (A-Har-Ree-ET-Tium) pronunciation won't happen with just 1 The Way of Kings LISTEN. BrandoSando even believes they a... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 197: In Defense Of... ( feat. Hayden Gray from Fantasy Fan Fellas )
Q: How does romantasy differ in its core appeal from traditional fantasy, and why should listeners give it a chance?
Romantasy centers on relationships and found family as the driving force of the plot, not just romance; it demonstrates the same universal truths as fantasy but through intimate, character-driven storytelling that resonates with readers who crave emotional connection and human stakes.
Episode 197: In Defense Of... ( feat. Hayden Gray from Fantasy Fan Fellas )
Q: What makes fantasy worth defending to new readers who might be skeptical about its value?
Fantasy can teach empathy, present universal truths through imaginative settings, and offer a safe space to discuss real-world issues by reframing them within a different world. It helps readers connect with characters' struggles and develop a deeper understanding of humanity.
Episode 192: Nexus Panel | Villains of the Cosmere
Q: Do you feel like Moash is a good candidate for a deathbed reconciliation?
Panelists overwhelmingly reject the notion of a 'deathbed reconciliation' for Moash, preferring a more nuanced exploration of character development.
Episode 192: Nexus Panel | Villains of the Cosmere
Q: What do we think about Hrathen as a quote-unquote villain?
Hrathen is viewed as more of an adversary than a villain, as he grapples with the flaws of his society and attempts to navigate them positively.
Episode 180: The Queen of Dragonsteel ( feat. Emily Sanderson )
Q: What is your favorite character in the Cosmere?
Hoid. And I both love him and hate him.
