  • A great entry to the cosmere

I tried reading the book mistborne on my own and I got way too confused and lost. I just started the podcast from the beginning with mistborne and it’s really fun and helpful to have a fake book club to help me with a complicated fantasy book and it also keeps me motivated. And I’m new to the cosmere as a whole so it’s helpful way to get your foot in the door.

  • Best Read-Along Podcast

My bookclub started reading Mistborn: The Final Empire in mid-2024 and I needed something to slow down my reading pace. I stumbled across The Sanderlanche podcast and immediately became obsessed. This podcast has helped so much in slowing me down and really making me think about what I’m reading and Data, Dac, Jaymee and Joe do an amazing job in cultivating that critical thinking all while being hilarious.

It’s a good Cosmere book club podcast that does a great job carrying a personality. Most of the cast does a great job, and they are smart enough to catch many of the references.

I finally started reading Sanderson’s books in December 2023. Part of the fun of reading is discussing with other fans but since most of my friends are not into fantasy I turn to podcasts. Data, Joe, Dac and Jaime are there to fill that void for me. I love hearing Data’s insights as a longtime Cosmere reader as well as the predigments from the newbies. I am reading along for the first time as well and can’t wait to catch up. I know I have quite a ways to go as I just finished Alloy of Law. (I am... more
