Jaymee is out this week, which is a shame because there's a pretty big moment in the flashbacks this time. We've all been waiting for this one.

It's almost like a tease with these Dalinar flashbacks at this point. We know something is going to happen, but when?! Meanwhile, Kal is making friends with lighteyes? What is Roshare coming to?

We meet an unexpected friend in Kholinar, to mixed reactions from our crew. And during email time another Moash discussion with a novel take on the debate.

The whole crew is back this week for our arrival at Kholinar. It was quite the event, and there are thoughts. Despite several interesting revelations, Dalinar's chapter almost seems like an afterthought with how interesting our crew is finding the ot... more

  • Early on

I just recently started listening as I am rereading the Mistborn books and really enjoy this podcast for the most part. I just finished the second book. I love hearing the predictions, especially Jaymee’s. I like hearing the annotations and insight as I follow along. My only complaint at this point is the constant, whining negativity from Joe. If he hates Brandon Sanderson’s style of series writing, why does he want to be on a Cosmere podcast? If he doesn’t like a cliffhanger style series, then ... more

  • Drop Joe…

Great group for the most part, really enjoy your chapter summaries and insights. My only gripe is Joe. I’ve listened to this pompous, egotistical guy bash all 3 Mistborn trilogy books, Elantris, etc over the course of several years… buddy if you don’t like the books then just…maybe stop reading them????

  • Great podcast

This is probably one of my favorite podcast about the cosmere. I told my brother about it and he doesn’t believe you guys haven’t read these books before because of all the predictions you got right. I am on Mistborn era 2 still, so I probably won’t hear this for a while. Hope you still do the misting thing.

  • My favorite podcast

I’ve been a listener since nearly the very beginning, and this podcast is my favorite! I’m a hardcore fan of these books, and listening to everyone’s reactions while experiencing the books for the first time is the closest that I’ll ever get to reading these books for the first time again. It’s wonderful!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

237 - Oathbringer - Chapters 12 to 14
Q: What did you think of the three chapters?
I felt bad for Dallinar for having to deal with political negotiations and for them being so futile. The chapter with Kaladin shows that the Voidbringers may not be what we expected, and the Shalan chapter brings comedy into the mix.
174 - The Way of Kings - Chapters 18 and 19
Q: What did you think before this? And has seeing one of them changed what you thought about the visions?
Initially, I thought they were just voices in the head. After seeing one, it seems much more real, as if Dalinar is slotting into someone else's life.
179 - The Way of Kings - Interlude 6 to Chapter 30
Q: What did you think of these three chapters?
They had some nice little nuggets, with twists that keep the story engaging.
189 - The Way of Kings - Chapters 56 and 57
Q: What's going to happen next?
There's a sense that Kaladin may embrace his responsibilities and learn more about his powers, potentially influencing the Light Eyes in a positive way.
189 - The Way of Kings - Chapters 56 and 57
Q: What did you think of these two chapters?
The first chapter was intense, and the battle scenes were well captured, especially with Dalinar's reflections during the fight. The introduction of Hoid and his storytelling offered a refreshing perspective and added depth to Kaladin's journey.
