Listen as FDA Commissioner Dr. Makary and Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mallika Mundkur discuss the next batch of awardees under the Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher program.
Biologic drugs are incredible, but they’re expensive – and they account for 51% of all drug spending. How can we bring cheaper alternatives to market?

Commissioner Makary and his staff are doing an excellent job communicating the latest endeavors at the FDA in a way that is engaging and informative for both the lay public and medical/scientific experts. I greatly appreciate Dr. Makary’s commitment to transparency and his readiness to engage in meaningful discussions that both benefit and educate the American people.
You seem like real people who sincerely care — that’s good. FDA’s food labeling policies are a mess — corrective action and personnel changes are needed. Should talk more about your plans in that area.
Were they too busy making this thinly veiled propaganda podcast to continue basic E. coli testing? Hot pile of “Trust Me, Bro” garbage masquerading as public health officials. A national embarrassment.
If you want to hear several grating voices talk pseudoscientific propaganda, you’ve found the perfect podcast. Shamefully disingenuous from individuals that claim to care about health outcomes. If you want an actual scientific discussion about public health, check out something like This Podcast will Kill You.
Love this new podcast and will be following it closely. As a physician, it’s been disheartening to see the medical community lose credibility with the American public. I believe this podcast is a meaningful step toward rebuilding that trust. Thank you—transparency is key.
