I have been reading and listening to Dr Prasad for many years and am a big fan of his tireless work in educating the public in complex heath policy issues. I particularly love his thoughts on how some drug developers have manipulated the system to get poor quality and low efficacy drugs approved and are fleecing the public purse of hundreds of billions of dollars annually. Commissioner Makary and his staff are doing an excellent job communicating the latest endeavors at the FDA in a way that is engaging and informative for both the lay public and medical/scientific experts. I greatly appreciate Dr. Makary’s commitment to transparency and his readiness to engage in meaningful discussions that both benefit and educate the American people.
You seem like real people who sincerely care — that’s good. FDA’s food labeling policies are a mess — corrective action and personnel changes are needed. Should talk more about your plans in that area.
Were they too busy making this thinly veiled propaganda podcast to continue basic E. coli testing? Hot pile of “Trust Me, Bro” garbage masquerading as public health officials. A national embarrassment.
