This podcast is a lot of fun. The GM, Mike, is really great at navigating the players and listeners through new games and also seamlessly running them.
The players, in turn, bring great energy and you really get to know them and enjoy hanging out with them.
The only problem is that I genuinely cannot remember what a dungeon is, and I don’t think this is some sort of aphasia, I think the podcast has completely erased whatever a “dungeon” is from my brain.
Sounds a little English humour!!
Since I am not normally a fan of FitD games for long-run campaigns, but these guys really kept me hooked. They have great production, dynamic interactions, a good chemistry, and well, all of the things I normally want from a live play podcast. Highly recommend!
A pretty great podcast run by a pretty great cast. The theme song is catchy, and Mike does a great job of explaining the rules of Scum & Villainy, a Forged in the Dark game by Evil Hat Productions.
Also, Mike's dad says he's not allowed to win at Blood Lords.

So much fun to ride along with these friends as they discover new games and explore exciting worlds!

A lively show centered on collaborative storytelling in a rustic fantasy RPG world, with extended live-play sessions, improvisational banter, and inventive problem-solving. Episodes weave character-driven arcs, world-building, and in-game puzzles with frequent jokes, themed quests (food-focused contests, island explorations, and magical intrigues), and a strong emphasis on group chemistry and playful meta-commentary. Noteworthy is the consistent core cast and narrator-driven storytelling, which creates a warm, collaborative vibe that's likely to appeal to fans of tabletop RPGs, improvisational comedy, and long-running campaign storytelling. The format's blend of strategic planning, humor, and creative use of game systems probably makes it s... more
