  • Guests sound quality

As an ed-tech professional I really appreciate what you do and the good of though you provide. But what a torture it is sometimes to listen to your guest in terms of sound quality. Talking from AirPods, straight to the laptop mic, or whatnot, it’s hard to understand what they are saying sometimes. Maybe you could ask them to record a separate audio file to their iPhone. Even that would probably be better than AirPods

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Week in EdTech 2/25/26: FBI Raids LAUSD, Screen Time Backlash Grows, Google Trains 6M Teachers in AI, Southern States Post Gains, NationGraph Raises Funding, and More! Feat. Ariella Racco of CoLab Education
Q: What role does Ariella see for collaboration in AI-enabled education today?
She argues that collaboration infrastructure is the bottleneck; without effective professional networks and shared practices, AI tools cannot be meaningfully adopted or scaled in classrooms.
Managing AI by Default: Dean Celaj of GoTeacher on the Future of K–12 Data Privacy
Q: What was the inspiration behind GoTeacher and Akademi.al, and how did these experiences shape the current focus on privacy and data governance?
Early experiences with Albanian education showed a massive user base but limited ability to measure outcomes; the shift to becoming a data aggregation layer was driven by the need to prove how technology improves outcomes, while still prioritizing privacy and governance.
Managing AI by Default: Dean Celaj of GoTeacher on the Future of K–12 Data Privacy
Q: What needs to change systematically to fix these issues?
There are hundreds or thousands of third-party apps with access to student data. Systems must reduce tool sprawl, increase shared visibility, and deploy automation to enforce policies at scale.
Managing AI by Default: Dean Celaj of GoTeacher on the Future of K–12 Data Privacy
Q: From your vantage point at GoTeacher, why are so many US schools still falling short on student data privacy compliance in 2026?
It's primarily a capacity issue disguised as a policy problem. Districts have policies on paper but lack the tools and staff to continuously monitor data sharing with vendors and to block risky activity in real time.
Josh Jones of QuantHub on Teaching AI Skills That Outlast the Tools
Q: If people want to find out more about QuantHub, what's the best way for them to learn more?
